See two of Turkey's natural and historical wonders in a single day trip from Istanbul to Pamukkale by plane. After an early flight to Denizli you are transferred to Pamukkale to walk among its famous white travertine terraces of calcium springs, then explore the mighty ancient city of Hierapolis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site built above the hot springs. A private guide and car accompany you throughout before your evening flight back to Istanbul.
Morning Flight
Pick-up from your hotel at around 06:30 for the 09:15 flight. You are met at Denizli Airport and transferred to Pamukkale.
Pamukkale
Pamukkale is famous for its white cascades of calcium springs. There are 17 hot-water springs here; as the water reaches the surface it loses carbon dioxide and calcium bicarbonate settles to form the beautiful white terraces. It is a joy to see this natural wonder, and you can walk through Pamukkale and even relax in the warm water of the ancient pool.
Hierapolis
Built just above the hot springs of Pamukkale, Hierapolis is a mighty ancient city and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Founded in the 2nd century BC by the King of Pergamon and later a Roman city, it was famous for its sanctuaries and as an important trade centre, especially for purple dye and textile production.
Return Flight
After the tour you are transferred to the airport for the evening flight back to Istanbul.
